Several events take place in the South-Gironde:
- "Journades":¶a festival of theatre which takes place at the end of July in Villandraut.
- "the festival of Fatty Oxen": a traditional fair which takes place Thursday which precedes Mardi-Gras and which attempts to defend and to encourage the production of the bovine race Bazadaise.

"the festival of the wood pigeon":at the end of September, the town of Bazas celebrates the opening of the shooting season of the wood pigeon.

- "Atypical Nights" of Langon:¶famous musical event bringing together many artists is at the beginning of August.

Lastly, you will be able to leave to discovered "the Beautiful one Deadened"; Bordeaux (50 km) and of the Basin of Arcachon (80km) (nautical activities, tasting of products of the sea, visits ornithological park of Teich.
